Athletic Spending
The purpose of this paper is to examine empirically the effects of college athletics, with a particular focus on the financial effects. In particular, the paper draws on evidence contained in previous academic studies; statistical analysis of a new, comprehensive database compiled from school-specific information collected as part of the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) merged with data from other sources (such as the Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System managed by the Department of Education); and a detailed survey of chief financial officers from 17 Division I schools.

In addition, interpretations identified by the Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee, noncontroversial amendments adopted by the Management Council, pursuant to Constitution 5.3.1.1.1, and modifications of wording adopted by the Management Council, pursuant to 5.4.1.1.1, are included in the Manual.

Revenues & Expenses of Div-I/II Intercollegiate Athletics Programs - Financial Trends & Relationships 2003
This report provides summary information concerning revenues and expenses of NCAA Divisions I and II intercollegiate athletics programs for the 2002-03 fiscal year. It is the result of a survey conducted during the fall of 2003.The primary objective of the 2002-03 edition of Revenues and Expenses of Intercollegiate Athletics Programs Report is to update the information in the previous reports concerning financial aspects of intercollegiate athletics programs. A second objective of the report is to provide an analysis of the revenue and expense trends of athletics programs within each of the respective NCAA divisions. A third objective of the report is to provide data relevant to gender issues.

2001-02 NCAA Student-Athlete Ethnicity Report
For the third consecutive year, the NCAA compiled the following statistical information regarding student-athlete ethnicity in intercollegiate athletics at its member institutions. This information provides a general view of recent historical trends in participation by gender, sport and division.
 
2001-02 Race Demographics of NCAA Member Instutions Athletics Personnel
The race demographics study is a biennial study designed to collect data on the racial and gender breakdown of athletics personnel at NCAA member institutions. The 2001-2002 Institution Staff Demographic Form was voluntarily completed by NCAA member institutions’ athletics personnel for this continuing study. The NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee (MOIC), formed in January of 1991, has been using this data since 1995 to measure broad changes over time. The proceeding charts, graphs and tables show the results from the 2001-2002 form.
