The Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete is designed to help you, your family, your high school counselors and your coaches understand the NCAA initial-eligibility process and prepare you for transitioning from high school to becoming an NCAA student-athlete. With over 1,000 colleges and universities across three divisions, NCAA schools offer a variety of academics and athletics programs to meet your needs. When you're ready to work on your dream to become an NCAA student-athlete, start by reading this guide. Then work closely with your high school counselor to determine your plan! Be sure to talk to college admissions offices, listen to your family and mentors, and then choose the NCAA school opportunity that best meets your needs and goals.

The NCAA Eligibility Center encourages every student-athlete to take an active role in their initial-eligibility process. Take time to complete the Eligibility Center registration yourself or jointly with your family, registering with a free Profile Page account at eligibilitycenter.org. If you need additional assistance, contact the Eligibility Center's Customer Service team at 877-262-1492, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Monday-Friday for assistance.
